  • Chris Hilliard senior Pastor

    Chris, age 43, and his wife, Elisabeth met at Columbia Bible College whey they both received Bachelor of Science degrees with double majors in Bible and Youth Ministry. They were married in 2000. Chris is from Savannah, GA area while Elisabeth was raised in Roanoke Rapids, NC. The Hilliards have eight children, Jacob, Savannah, Elijah, Seth, Autumn, Lillian, Victoria and Amelia.





  • Gary Ring Interim Youth Pastor

    Gary met his wife Christy at a small Bible camp in VA the age of 15. After graduating from Appalachian Bible College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pastoral Ministries/Greek, he married his childhood sweetheart and soon after began serving in Youth Ministry. While involved in youth ministry, Gary pursued and completed a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from Trinity Theological Seminary. After several years of youth ministry, Gary was called to serve as part of the Bible faculty for Appalachian Bible College. Gary is from the hills of Virginia while Christy is from the hills of Kentucky. The Rings have three daughters, Hannah, Rachel and Adysen.

  • Jake Barnett children's pastor

    Jake was born and raised in Seaford Virginia where he lived for 22 years until moving to Wake Forest, NC. He is enrolled at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies with a minor in Student Ministry. Jake says he knew the Lord called him to ministry at a young age when his mother caught him baptizing his stuffed animals in her bathroom. He feels honored that the Lord has called him to serve students of all ages and to teach them about Christ and His love for them.

  • Stacey Salazar MUSIC ministry intern

    Stacey was born in Princeton, New Jersey but grew up in the town of Zebulon. She has been part of the Wendell Baptist family her whole life and is now enjoying serving as a youth intern primarily leading and discipling young female students. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Worship Ministry with a minor in Music at the College at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Stacey is known to have a heart for many things, but she can mainly be thought of as an enthusiast of music, children, youth, the church, coffee, and ice cream.

  • Edwin Euceda pastor of Hispanic Ministries

    Edwin is married to his beautiful bride, Galenia, and has one daughter, Nicole. A native Honduran he moved to the United States of America in 1992 and received the Lord Jesus Christ in 2008. Edwin completed his ministerial studies at the Campbell University Divinity School in 2014. His favorite thing to do in his free time is to spend time with his family.

  • SIDNEY BAYNES INTERIM MUSIC DIRECTOR

    A lifelong resident of Wendell, NC, Sidney began singing hymns in harmony with his Grandfather, siblings and cousins at the age of 8. This began a lifelong interest in learning about, performing, and writing music. Sidney accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at the age of 13. He has been active in the Wendell Baptist Choir, Men’s Ensemble, and Worship Band and has co-written or written over 35 original songs for use in services at Wendell Baptist Church. Sidney is married to Farrah Baynes and the couple have two daughters, Anna Ruth and Julia. Sidney is also a visual artist specializing in landscape painting. A Graduate of North Carolina State University, Sidney is the owner of Baynes and Company, Art and Framing, Inc. in Wendell, NC.

  • Wynette Wilson pianist

    Wynette was born in Raleigh, NC, and after high school, attended Meredith College and Campbell University. While at Campbell, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. Wynette has three adult sons, David, Daniel & Drew Jackson and is married to Thomas Wilson. In addition to working at WBC, Wynette is a public school music teacher with National Board Certification in Early and Middle Childhood Music, and has earned her Master's Degree in Music Education from East Carolina University.

  • Sandy Townsend Secretary

    Sandy grew up in Wendell. After graduating from NCSU, she and her former husband, a Park Ranger, lived in National Park Service areas in several states. She has two married sons and 4 grandchildren and became a member and secretary at Wendell Baptist Church in 1999.
